Remember when i said i’m going to get a friend for Honoka? Well she’s here, introducing, Strarf Mk. 2 Lavina variant. So here we go another 40-ish panels worth of review of Busou Shinki’s Strarf Mk.2 Lavina.
Ah yes, the huge box of shinkis. But take note as my Lavina isn’t the Full Arms Package, meaning that the Full Arms Package is even THICKER than this. But it’s cool, maybe in time i will look for the FAP … FULL ARMS PACKAGE (damn that was awkward) …
As you can see here, she is from Front Line manufacturing company. Coded FLO-17/L, as i’m sure the L code stands for the Lavina variant of the original Strarf. As usual the information on the side are in moonrunes so… i need to ask someone to decipher it one of these days along with Honoka’s.
Let’s move on with the blister run then. Oh and i call it the blister run since there are so many parts i’ll just let you see them for yourselves.
The reason i got Miho first was because of her colors, she looks more cute in those whites and blacks. Also because i like her exo-skeleton like shinki armor. Those kind of armors always gets me, but anyway let’s move onto her review.
I’ll keep it brief for her since she has all the signature traits of a shinki, but i have to point out that i like her color and lining choices. Also, the cute uniform-like outfit and her head band. It just fits somehow.
Do note that there is one major issue with mine, all her wrists have crooked swivel pegs. No, not the plug, but the swivel part of her wrist. Mine seems to be coming off really easily, to me this is bad as you need to be careful when bending her wrists to make sure it doesn’t just pop off. You can put them back again with ease but it’s still annoying.
Now let’s move on to the armored review and since her armored mode is rather tall and huge, Honoka will help her.
I love the fact that in her armored mode she literally towers over the other shinkis, the only ones that does so other than her was… Zelnograd and Fort Bragg if i’m not mistaken. Also the screws might be ugly at some point but you can simply just turn the hand around or switch it wo make the screws face the back instead of the front.
The little linings on her armor is also a neat touch, do note that the armor she chose to wear now isn’t even HALF of what she comes with… Meaning that there are more things on her box that you could use to switch or customize her with. I can’t imagine how much contents the full armed package has…
Moving on to her weaponry, damn that sword is huge. It’s even longer than a tall type shinki body, you can see when Honoka is taking a look at it that the thing is huge. Probably to make a shinki-shkabob…
Also since she is more of a melee warrior she has like lots of swords. Besides the huge putz poker, she also has 2 smaller ones she can hold with her own hand. That doesn’t mean however she has no ranged means of attack, her handgun is pretty badass as it is. That thing must fire large rounds from she sheer size of its chambers… I try to look at it as Wyatt Earp’s gun on crack.
Curious? Well, here it is. The alternate form of her armor.
Although it is cool, as she can ride it to deliver divine punishment from the skies while riding on it, i don’t think she would need this mode too often as it literally has her main armor parts making it up. Leaving her literally open, remember when you do battle make sure your rival isn’t a long range type as they would probably pluck her off the skies like a hunter in duck hunting season.
Also, it looks cool actually… I just don’t see the need of her going into this mode unless she needs the upper hand from the air. In this case Raptias, Lirbiette and Vervietta are still the queen of the skies. Mulmertier, Fort Bragg and Zelnograd are also ones that you shouldn’t use this mode on as those 3 are specialized long range units.
She has shoes ∑(O_O；)
So with this ends our review of Miho, a Strarf Mk.2 Lavina-Variant unit. Despite the issues on her hand i see no other issues as some people had like wobbly joints and whatnots. So my verdict on her would simply be…
Again i would only recommend her as we all run into the same problem with people collecting shinkis, either for the price or the scarce availability. But other than that, she is a recommended item for me personally.
Well anyway i took some shots of them after i told them to sit around while i do this review. It’s nice to see Honoka now has someone like her to talk with, whereas she’s usually by herself. You can probably see how excited she is, from her rather unusual playful attitude all along the review.
