And here we are, with another review. Today we will look at Bakemonogatari’s Koyomi, and as promised, i will make him review the next person in line. But first a quick outlook, personally, I’m a bakemonogatari fan so seeing that Koyomi got a reissue treatment makes me happy because i haven’t started collecting figmas when he was first released. So without further delay, let me present you with Araragi.
The box design seems ok, though the accessories that you saw through the window is… in fact are the only things you’ll get. But you might notice there is also another extra hand that is not his… we’ll go to that later on. But personally since he’s the first male figma i’ve had, i don’t really know about the other male figmas accessory count.
In the box you’ll get:
- Koyomi himself
- 5 pair of extra hands + 1 Extra female hand
- 2 faceplates
- 1 extra front hairpiece with a different ahoge
- 1 effect part
- 1 school bag
- 1 figma stand set
- 1 plastic bag for… do i need to go on about it?
So i’ll leave the rest to Araragi-kun to explain himself…Koyomi: Alright then let’s continue, design wise, Max Factory did it again by making a true to image results in me. Although i prefer to be in my summer uniform. But that’s not important, what’s important is they did a great job on me. The colors and details are crisp and unlike someone else i’ve seen before on Yama-san’s reviews, my details and colors doesn’t nick or rub off easily. They also, again, picked soft pvc as my upper outfit part giving my legs and arms a rather free clearance in terms of posability. Koyomi: From the back you can also see that the designs and details are “clean”. From the shirt down to the pants they made good work with keeping the uniform to look like… well… a uniform instead of something you just snap onto a figure. Ruffles and everything, they made sure it looks right and lifelike. Also there is your regular peg holes but on me it’s on the lower half of the torso, this is good actually for some poses that require the stand set. Add the large footing of my shoes i actually don’t need to use the stand much… Koyomi: My one and only accessory would be … this… a school bag. But it’s not just a regular school bag, it’s a finely detailed school bag, though i do have to point out that my extra hands that were supposed to be able to hold this is rather stiff and tricky, so take extra caution and be careful not to snap my fingers off or rip the bag’s handle, the only complaint i have so far. Koyomi: HEY! What’re YOU doing here, this is MY review Mayoi: What? Yama-san’s tired today and fell asleep so i thought i’d help him out by helping you out. Koyomi: … alright… no funny business though… Koyomi: Well scaling wise i have to give props to Max Factory for creating all of us true to scale as our height and proportions are exactly the same as it should be. Including shorty here. Mayoi: Who’re you calling short?! Koyomi: GEH!!! *a few minutes later…* Koyomi: Well that *ouch* sums it all for this review, but do stick around for more pictures of me on other parts of Yama-san’s blog. Apparently Yama-san fell asleep on the table again, so maybe i’ll do the verdicts this time for him… that guy’s been working his ass off lately it seems, better let him have his beauty sleep although there’s nothing beautiful about how he fell asleep just now… If you’re a bakemonogatari fan i’m definitely one to add to complete your line of collection, if you’re just looking for a male figure i can fill that role perfectly too, or if you’re one of those people who seem to enjoy making their female figures torture males i ca-wait… ok … skip that last part. All in all i’m not a bad addition to your number of collectible action figures. Stick with me next time as i review someone also from bakemonogatari that apparently has her extra parts included with me. So stay tuned.
