Yeah, i noticed that too. But from time to time she still has that formal speech up and around again. Then again shinkis are fast learners but you can’t deny their natural traits.
I sometimes use this technique for special shots but one annoying issue is, is to make sure the background image isn’t too sharp compare to the subject in front.
It all depends on how the background material is. Sadly i’m still using a matte paper and it still has a degree of glossiness. Making some of the green “leaks” to the subject.
I already nabbed a chromakey background cloth from ebay last night in blue and green. Hopefully those can minimize the leaks more.
Actually it’s pretty simple, chromakey’ing is actually a video technique where the background is changed all while shooting a video.
the process on a still image is easier as all you need to do is to delete the background. but for best result you should use a solid color that’s non reflective so there wouldn’t be “leaks” allover your photographed subject.
Never knew about chromakey. or at least the term. i always thought it was just either a green or blue background with no specific material used as long as a certain color is retained. xD thanks for le info… twas even more interesting hearing honaka and miho take part.
Well, i prefer to use my desk actually. Because my desk by itself is a huge watermark. Nobody has a desk like mine, and by shooting on the desk it sorts of prevents photo theft.
I know, you can just watermark the photograph but i’ve seen many people cleverly remove watermarks.

the best would be to use a matte non-reflective solid colored surface, preferably the color that your photographed subject is not “made of”
For instance if in this case Miho has a majority of whites and blacks you should use solid greens or blues
